This course takes participants through the Employment Journey from Entrance to Exit and everything in-between, covering off essential employee rights and HR touch points.

Regularly updated with current Employment Law Changes - this is perfect for anyone with People responsibilities. This course will give you the confidence to deal with employee related issues and the ability to answer questions/queries from employees.

Learning Objectives

Participation in this course will provide you with:

  • Knowledge of the recruitment & selection process:

    • Applicants rights & pre-employment discrimination

  • Awareness of Employment status, contracts, day 1 rights, induction & probationary periods

  • Knowledge of rights and entitlements within the first 2 years.

  • An awareness of disciplinary, capability and grievance procedure

  • Ability to deal with resignations, dismissals, leave pay and having a protected conversation.

  • Knowledge of avoiding claims - discover the true cost of getting it wrong and steps to avoid costly claims.
