With the new changes nearing it is no wonder GDPR is the topic of conversation for many of us. The new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) coming into effect in May 2018 means a lot of businesses will have to change the way they use and store personal data.
From May, you will only be able to market to customers/clients who have double opted into your emails meaning data which you use now, may not be compliant.
Making Tax Digital
HMRC has announced that by 2020 the Making Tax Digital initiative will be in place meaning it will be easier for individuals and businesses to ensure their tax is correct and access their own tax affairs online via digital accounts.
At the moment, it is estimated that £8 billion a year in tax is lost from avoidable errors and so making tax digital is hopefully going to reduce these costs.
