5 ways Fact3 will help you maximise the wellbeing of your employees

The pandemic has resulted in unprecedented challenges for SMEs everywhere, but one thing we’ve all been reminded of is the importance of people to a successful organisation.

Employees have experienced unprecedented levels of change, working remotely, online education of children at home, social distancing, the uncertainty of changing lockdown laws, personal financial considerations, as well as health and safety concerns.

Without careful monitoring this stressful and uncertain situation will have an adverse impact on employees’ wellbeing, which, if unaddressed, can begin to affect performance and satisfaction at work.  These impacts may include difficulty concentrating, poor health, difficulty making decisions, disconnectedness and absenteeism.

Mental health charity Mind focuses on the following areas to help employers manage mental health in the workplace:

  • Promoting wellbeing for all staff

  • Tackling the causes of work related mental health problems

  • Supporting staff who are experiencing mental health problems.

In order to maintain the health and wellbeing of their workforce, businesses need to be asking themselves “What can we do to ensure the physical, emotional and social health of our employees long term? How can we ensure our workforce remains engaged, productive, innovative and loyal?”

Because employee wellbeing is multi-dimensional, solutions should encompass the physical, psychological and social aspects of health and wellness. Fact3’s People team have various solutions to support employee wellbeing.  Here are our top 5:

1.Clear, well communicated policies
